Steven Isaacman, licensed in CA as a marriage and family therapist since 1992, maintains a private practice in West Hollywood. He was drawn to analytic training in the late 1990’s, inspired by a wish to better understand his patients.
Over several years, the pursuit of extension classes yielded (in 2002) to enrollment as a candidate to become an analyst. . In the spring of 2008, Steven completed his training at the Los Angeles Institute and Society for Psychoanalytic Studies, earning his PsyD in psychoanalysis
Steven supervises interns in his private practice and is also a volunteer supervisor for interns at The Gay and Lesbian Center. He is also a guest lecturer for Phillips Graduate Institute, The Valley Community Clinic, and The Southern California Counseling Center and supervises and teaches in the LAISPS Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Certificate Program.
